um, nope - they stopped production on them.

Off topic but I love Impalas same goes with chargers new or old.
Didn't think I would like the new JK's the 4 doors just aren't my cup of tea, I prefer the 2dr. Each model has it's unique factors. From what iv seen and read about the JK's they can hold their own stock just like the TJ's and so on.
Like I told a friend buying his first car last week. "Get something you want and will enjoy may it be a Dodge Neon or a jeep" it is your money.
|10-28-2007 03:25 PM|
LOL. sorry dude, but you dont know anything about me. Just because i have a 600hp car on 20"s and a daily driver on 22"s, doesnt mean that i havent owned several offroad vehicles before.
i just never really liked the look of the pre-JK two door jeep. hell, i really dont even like the 2 door JK now. but im in love with the 4 door.
its just a personal opinion, there are no "facts" about it.

|mrbigjeep||my family has had nothin but good luck with dodge.|
|10-28-2007 08:41 AM|
from a mechanical stand point, land rovers are HORRIBLE, and I would NEVER trust one out in the woods without a sure-fire way home.
I hate ford, so chevy, but a year ago I would have cursed chevy too. I grew up chevrolet, hate dodge and ford, but Ford has really been improving latley (atleast from what I can see in the repos at work) and GM was going downhill FAST. Looks like GM is starting to correct though.
As for a Japanese Jeep, old 4runners aren't half bad at all if you REALLY don't want a domestic, But there is no substitute for a Jeep offroad.
|10-27-2007 09:21 PM|
i would love to see a land rover follow me
the new JK is better...but not head over heels. the TJ could still go most places the JK could...plus the tight places where JK can't fit.
|10-27-2007 05:06 PM|
|Walkeraviator||I would agree on the Range Rover maybe... but the H1 isnt as great as people would like to believe... that IFS is pretty fragile.. I have a nice picture of my buddies old Land Cruiser pulling a broken H1 out of a hole... Ill see if i can scan it...|
|10-27-2007 04:10 PM|
JK "the most capable off the line, off road vehicle on the market"?
not sure id agree with that. I mean they still make the H1, then theres the Land Rover. But its certainly the best considering price too
|10-27-2007 01:11 PM|
You guys are just like the CJ guys back when the YJ came out... forget the fact that the new vehicle is lightyears ahed of the last one.. "i just wont like it cuz it sdoenst look like mine... wah wah wah...boo hoo..."
The fact is that a stock Rubi TJ would never do what stock rubi JK does...
|10-27-2007 12:46 PM|
|10-27-2007 11:16 AM|
no offense cause i like the JK, but this isn't suprising considering you own 2 cars on dubs.
as far as sales go...half or more of those are from soccer moms. i'm real impressed.
|10-27-2007 02:58 AM|
|jjseel||We are actually thinking of purchasing a 4 door JK - the most capable off the line, off road vehicle on the market. I spent a weekend with several, stock, JK's, and they didn't hold anyone up...|
|10-27-2007 01:53 AM|
|Smeghead||Pretty stupid statement based on sales figures too|
|10-27-2007 01:04 AM|
well, i would have never considered a wrangler before the JK came out.
and saying it "killed off the wrangler" is a pretty bold statement, dont ya think?
|10-26-2007 07:09 PM|
|Smeghead||Im finding it very hard to deal with the fact that I will soon be buying a domestic. I've had no luck at all so far with them. For my mind they all suck, but theres no decent Japanese Jeep so..|
|10-26-2007 04:18 PM|
|10-26-2007 04:04 PM|
|jjseel||I say Ford, "back to roots", also GM makes Hummers...|
|10-26-2007 03:24 PM|
|Skeezer||It doesn't matter, they're already done making the "real Jeeps". The JK kinda killed off the Wrangler anyway.|
|10-19-2007 09:53 AM|
|quadna71||i say chevy only because they run the I6 in their trailblazer...it would be cool to see the inline back into the wrangler.|
|10-19-2007 08:02 AM|
Um, you guys DO remember that Willys and Ford made the original Jeep in WW2, right?
Ford would be a return to roots, of a sort, and may mean a way to get 8.8-like axles on Jeeps from the factory. I am hardly a Ford fan, and given both GM's AND Ford's financial status right now, I don't either is a seriously viable option to buy. Ford is talking about selling off Jag and Volvo, so buying Jeep isn't in the cards ANY time soon.
GM is looking better, but still not great and they actually have some nicer cars coming down the way. As far as Onstar, we had it when we got our Avalanche, but never used it and never renewed after the initial free trial. No biggie. As long as I have XM or Sirius, I'm good.

|debruins||i dont care, im buying a 70's Cj5 and restoring it once i get out of college!|
|10-17-2007 10:06 PM|
|orange05tj||Ford will make it ugly with the headlights on the bottom and put 4 foot wrangler emblems on it.|
|10-17-2007 08:28 PM|
i say chevy
they'll put a V8 option on a jeep!
|10-17-2007 08:13 PM|
if its between those 2...then chevy...i hate ford (except for the V8 mustangs and cobras)
maybe they would get smart and put a V8 in the JK
|10-17-2007 12:26 PM|
|hutchman||I would think that the Jeep name is the Crown Jewel of Chrysler Corp. If they sell Jeep, they would lose the name that has made money since 1946.|
|10-17-2007 11:28 AM|
I would like GM to take over since I can get employee privcing on GM vehicles...
|10-17-2007 11:15 AM|
|MOz||I say resurrect Kaiser-Willys Corporation and get it over with.|
|10-17-2007 08:18 AM|
How many of you remember when AMC had the Jeep models?
I think that if Chrysler ever did sell off the Jeep rights, the Jeep would still be a good vehicle because of the following it has. A new buyer would have to recognize if they started screwing with the Jeep how many sales would they lose? Millions of $.

|AzTJ||WTF - Chrysler was sold by Mercedes and is now independently owned by Cerberus.|
