Coil spring kits for a YJ are expensive and most do not work well. There are tricks to make a leaf spring suspension ride better. Installing greasable shackle bolts and making sure the shackle bolts are not extrmely tight will help most times.

|crafty||If you have a chesty girl in your passenger seat try and keep your eyes on the road I have pulled up to the store and had my boyfriend not be able to go in if you know what I mean Leaf springs ride rough.|

newbie spring question
Ok, so I got my '92 YJ not even 2 weeks ago and every day I learn something new about it. I apparently have no coil springs (I know I am VERY newbie ) but I do have Rancho RS 5000 shocks and leaf springs on all 4 sides. I wanted to know if this was a good or bad thing. I'm using the jeep as my daily driver so I wanted to know if putting coil springs was better than having leaf springs. I have a 3" lift and 33" tires but I dont plan on going mudding any time soon. The ride at the moment is pretty rough. Very hard. Which I dont mind that much but if I could make it a little softer that would be perfect.
So keep the leaf springs or change to coil?
