Yes, take our advise. You can get the Currie CA's for less than $1k. If you have a t-case drop, then you should think about getting a slip yoke eliminator. Wheel it for a while and you will know what you need to upgrade after that. Above all else, have fun with it.

immarkshy im gonna throw this out there... what would be the best bang for buck under 1000 for a 4" lift? should i take the advice from earlier on upgrading certain parts?

I have this lift, budget wise and performance wise i am very happy. I like how it maintains the original geometry with a "short arm" appearence

that definently makes the most sense, but at the same time the savvy are too much of a pretty penny for me at any given time, my budget is slim to none which is why i was asking if this lift is good or not based on experience, but i am thinking about doing what your talking about and replacing piece by piece but would like something better than what ive got to start with.

looked into savvy and its just too expensive, im sure its well worth it like your saying but at the same time idk if i really need a 2 grand set up, considering i need new tires soon as well and right now dont have the extra money lying around, so i may pick this lift up then swap out the control arms with savvys

Mortalis5509 Go with a Savvy lift. They took the currie spring changed the rates and have gotten with fox shocks and maid special valving for the set up. There whole system is like none other and will out preform all others. Come with Currie jj's control arms , currie anti-rock, and adjustable trac bar with jj's at the end. It is wort it.

krughzn If you've got the procomp lift, then keep the springs. They are excellent. Instead of buying a lift you're not really going to enjoy, you should replace parts slowly. I'd start with the CA's. Rokmen or Currie are excellent. Shop around and then call Gerald at Savvy and he can give you the best price on the Currie's. After that, replace parts as your budget allows. Good luck and have fun....

looking into different short arm 4" lift kits

as for my jeep...
2001 4.0 5 spd. 90k miles.
Bought it 5 months ago, im guessing its got a pro comp 4" lift (only by the not stock height, 33" tires, and a pro comp sticker from PO (haha i know real technical of me)), the shocks are white with a red boot and engraving on them, dont remember off hand but i plan on taking some pictures when i can and writing down engravings and getting input. theres 1.25" BL on it, 33"x12.5x15. as far as i can tell stock axles with 3.73 gear as per build sheet.

The ride is very bumpy which i understand owning different lifted trucks and what not in the past, but seems overkill the slightest bump in the road sends me flyin, i dont have much money but looking around today and saw this Skyjacker 4" Economy Lift Kit with Hydro Shocks for 97-02 Jeep® Wrangler TJ - Quadratec for less than 600 bucks... now its got my attention, i also am looking into the currie or rugged ridge steering upgrade for the upgraded tie rod becuase i really dont like the flex in the stock one... plus bigger is better right anyway just curious if anybody has this (yes i did read the lift reviews and saw the one in there and hes happy with it) wondering if anybody else has it or any information on this lift. will be mostly wheelin in the colorado rockies (colorado springs and boulder county mainly), nothing too major as its my DD but i would like to be able to do some decently technical(fun) stuff and know my suspension and or steering isnt going to be the reason i dont make it.

any input will be much appreciated, also a basic coil vs short arm lift benefits because i dont have the money for a Long Arm kit nor does it sound like i really want one.
