TJ_Babe The only thing that bugs me is the amount of people in Austin. It's not like Boston is. Boston at least has the space for them. Austin doesn't. And half of them are from up here. And people from up here destroy all thing natural. For instance.. the green-belt. Was once a serence little getaway. Now it's over developed and anything but serene. At least San Antonio is still kinda laid back. Only down side is the lack of Job Market.

West Texas!

I'm form El Paso my folks still live there.

Met my Wife in while working in Odessa.

My buisness partner lives in Midland and I have kin in Sanderson, Monahans and Pacos.

I spent a year working in Amarillo as a consultant....

So I guess I'mn from all over West Texas.

I know what you mean about that House thing the market in San Antonio and Austin has gone nuts.

Where in west Texas? I'm a reformed San Angeloan. I'll definately let you know when I get closer if I decide to go. I'm shocked at the house prices for new homes.

Texas Jeep Clubs.

We have some great Jeep Clubs in Austin & San Antonio.

Let me know when you get here and I'll point you in the right direction.

We will all be at a Texas Club Fun Run @ The Y.O. Ranch in the Texas Hill Country over the weekend.

I've been all over the country and there is no place I'd rather live than Texas. It's funny most of my Family lives in Texas and it's still a long drive to see them. But I make it home 2 or 3 times a year back to West Texas.

TJ_Babe good point. for me the draw is raising my kids the way I was raised. A great neighborhood. A place they can have the freedom to break an ankle trying to jump a huge ramp on their bikes, I can leave my doors unlocked. And I'll have the financial freedom to do things with them like camping and hiking and Schlitterbahn. The draw to stay is only my side of the family. I doubt I'll be able to say yes or know for at least a few months.

1BLKJP I live in AZ and my parents (All 4 of them) live in KS. The distance kind of sucks, but it makes visits that much better.

I would go with what's going to make you the happiest. No since in wondering what if.

TJ_Babe Awww... unfortunately my folks won't move. But, they did say that although they didn't want me to move, as long as I'm happy, they would be too. So I feel a little bit better.

bluvikng Sounds like a great deal. Talk your parents into moving down too. Have your cake, and be able to eat it. If you choose San Antonio, I am sure that Jeep Tales will keep your Jeep'n needs met, both in sales, and in trails. As far as that is concerned, there are several on this forum from that area. So you already have an extended Jeep'n family down there.

Maybe moving back to Texas...

You can take the girl out of Texas... but you can't take the Texas out of the girl. Well that's sorta true. Check it out.. this kinda sucks. Moved back up to Massachusetts from Austin 4 years ago. Still not 100% sure why. But decided that I want to settle down and spawn somewhat near my family. PROMISED my parents I'd never move again. Met a wonderful guy... was prepared to live my life up here. His brother took the wife and kids and moved to San Antone. His parents decided last week they're moving too and offered us a down-payment on a house if we move too. Hmmm... do I secure my financial future and own a house (which is next to impossible here) but at the same time break my parent's hearts into little tiny pieces (I really hope you captured the pain I will give. Or... do I stay up here with him and my family, but be broke and give up the idea of ever owning a house?

The choices to move are being narrowed down to Austin and San Antone... whichever yields a better job...
