MCDavis I have a friend who's got a red TJ with the flares painted red: I like that look!

Send me the particulars on your YJ. I know someone who wants to sell her Liberty and get a Wrangler. Don't know what she wants, but I can tell her about yours. She's local to me, so about 4 hours from OBX (just south of Raleigh).

We've got to be in Jacksonville Sunday for a soccer game. It's killing me that I'm getting that close and can't go drive on the beach!!

Eventually we're having a beer together...about 2-3 miles north of your house!!
I'd love to......Where is your house, Swan Beach?

How'd you fare at that end of 12? I know about the lower end already.

Put an OME suspension on it. They ride nearly as nice as a stock TJ and flex as well as any lifted TJ.

CSM41 Keep the YJ. In the past 20 years I have had a CJ, YJ, and 3 TJ's. I currently have a TJ and only have it because I couldn't find a decent rust free YJ. Don't listen to any BS about a YJ not being as good off road as a TJ because I built and wheeled the crap out of ALL of my jeeps. Yes, the TJ has a nicer interior and might flex a little better. But the YJ has a much simpler suspension (easier to mod, etc.), cool square headlights, and a more spartan interior. Overall, I think they are easier and less costly to build for the trail as well.

Before the TJ fans get riled up, remember, I have a TJ now. I still really dig my TJ.

Keep YJ or buy TJ

I have a 1987 YJ w/ 171k, Calif most of it's life, no rust but a few dings and scrapes.

The jeep is kept at our beach house in NC, and is used whenever we are there as a beach jeep and running errands. It is well suited for what I need but I've been thinking about looking for a TJ 2000 -2004, with 50-80k.

What do yall think?
