fabislo It was the switch.I put in a Standard multi-function switch from Rockauto due to the "fog lights staying on" issue and it lasted 1 month.Put the old switch back in and everything, except the fog lights, work fine.Called Rock auto and they said they had problems with the Standard switch(then why sell it?)and they will refund my money.I will try the AIRTEX switch next. It's a bit more but has a 1 year warranty as compared to the 3 month warranty of Standard. That 3 month warranty should have been a red light when ordering. Thanks gentlemen!

Shelby427 If you have a turn signal on that side, and a park lamp, the bulb and socket are good.

Turn signal/hazard/stop, all use the same filament on the bulb.

Your problem is I would say up at the dash area, as the same wire is used on all of those circuits to light the bulb, it is split off to each switch, so that each, along with the flashers can control the bulb.

If they all worked previously, and I had the old switch, I'd put it back in. If the light starts working, I'd be taking the new switch back for a replacement.

Skyhawk32 First of all did you use a tester on the bulb? And I assume and you know what means that the light worked before the switch was replaced. If try slaving in the old switch and see if the brake light works.

no brake light on passenger side

Like the title I have no brake light and no 4 way just on the passenger side of my 2001 Sahara.I have a blinker and my night time running lights are fine. The drivers side and the center mounted brake light work fine.I just changed out my multi-function switch due to fogs lights staying on. Could it be I got a lemon? The bulb and socket (cleaned pin connectors) are good to go also.
