Bl/YL Wire

while washing my yj one of my wires burnt up. It is a Bl/YL wire that runs in a harness along the drivers side of the car, all the way to the back. It is grounded right to the left of where your knee would be if you were sitting in the car. Im not sure how this happened, a tiny bit of a pink wire (which goes to the dome light in the hardtop) was also burnt up. Can anyone tell me what this bl/yl wire is? It is an 89 yj. Thanks!
