I was going to have a shop do my gear change but they wouldn't warranty any work that I supplied parts for. What they were claiming parts were was a good $300 more than what I priced them at. Long story short I'm doing the gears myself.

I've always heard a good mechanic is worth his weight in gold. So far, I couldn't be happier with mine.

Lately in my Jeep I've learned just to ignore my MPG. When you gotta fill up you gotta fill up. The fun of driving it is worth getting less milage to me.

I would like to eventually get rid of the Qudratrac and find a Jeep np208(not a top priority). I'm the same way, I get gas when my light comes on. I knew going in, that both Jeeps got crap mileage.

I get a good kick out of reading those. People thinking an intake and a programmer is going to give them their much wanted MPGs.

Don't blame you though. Gonna get a lot more out of a carb and intake than you would aluminum tanks.

I would've just keep the stock stuff, but the mechanic and engine guy suggested getting the intake/carb. They said with all the other crap, it really needed it.
