Definitely. The trail has gotten easier this season. I've seen a stock JK X with open diffs get through without a tug a couple of years ago when the trail was a bit more difficult.

Here's a better quality/less jumpy rendering. Same video though, so if you don't care, don't bother watching it again.

yeah i thought the trail was harder when we first did it last december, or it could be that i was on 32s then and now on 35s

we had an awsome time, the sunset camp was so cool!! and at about 9:00 pm or 10:00 pm a group of jeeps came through on a night run, that was cool seeing them up in the mountain from cam. Rebuilt sorry you didn't not get to make it through.

i have lots of good video ill get a clip togethter this week sometime.

2DEUCE2 That was a cool video yomondo. My brother in law had two of those same cameras running on my rig too. One underneath just to the left of my rear differential, one on my right door handle and then he had a third (different type of camera) on my hood and another in the cockpit looking at me (that one is going to suck). He is going to edit the footage and once I get it I will post it all up too. I might leave out the footage of me in the cockpit though.

The footage will mostly include Rebuilt before he had to go and Beantown after that.

It was a great trip and and an awesome run. I'm sure glad I got rid of the firewood, cooler full of um... necessities and 6 gallons of water in the back before I went for the second half this morning! Glad I got to meet you all and can't wait for Big Bear!

Alex, I hope you made it all the way home okay and let us know what you find. Hope you can get her up and running for the Big Bear trip.

Thanks again to all.

He overheated, then wouldn't restart, then eventually got it started but didn't feel confident it would make it all the way up, so Six Gun Matt and I escorted him back down then came back up and met up with the others at Sunset Camp.

yomondo Just got done unloading the Jeep. I had a great time today, but I'm jealous that I couldn't camp and party with y'all. I'm sure you're doin' it up big right now.

I hope my GoPro bumper cam videos came out okay. I'll take a look at them later tonight or tomorrow. I didn't take any pictures except a few at the staging area.

Alex, sorry you couldn't finish the trail with us. I hope you made it home okay.

yomondo Hey guys, a work issue came up that I'm dealing with right now. I'm still going to try to make the run, but DON'T WAIT FOR ME. At this point I don't know whether I can meet up at Flying J's, or Big John's or at the trailhead, if at all.
07-09-2011 02:18 AM
Rebuilt I wish I could describe how excited I am, OH YEA!!!! :inclu de:
07-09-2011 12:13 AM
Six Gun Matt really excited. We will meet you all tomorrow at 10. As for breakfast on Sunday, Janice and I are just bringing some bagels and yogurt for a simple breakfast, all I really need is coffee!

I will bring as much fire wood as I can fit. You have my number Brad if anything comes up. See you in the morning!

And glad to see that you will be making it Armand!

Xjman1 Have fun fellas, sure wish I could go.
07-08-2011 08:47 PM
2DEUCE2 Well, I just talked to my brother in law and he wants to join me so he will be taking my dogs spot in my rig. Don't worry though, he is even more harmless than my dog and I have plenty of food for the both of us.
07-08-2011 06:58 PM
turdhurdler Have fun and be safe everyone. Wish I could go, but still Jeepless as my trans is not in the Jeep at the moment.

No, if I bring anyone it will be my dog. She's pretty chill, doesn't bark and couldn't hurt an infant if she tried.

I actually wasn't expecting a speedy response to the food call, so I just got back from the store. I prepped myself a half chicken and got a single serving of pasta salad for my dinner... I did just buy a Costco sized cube of chili though so I will bring a couple of cans of that as a community side dish. Sorry, I just figured since I was such a late comer that I should bring my own food. I am good for my own lunch, dinner, drinking (I have plenty of that to share) and breakfast.

I just bought myself an Adventure Pass at Sports Authority this afternoon too so I will be good in that department. I also picked up two bundles of firewood.

I'll PM Beantown my cell # just in case anything changes after I'm long gone from my computer.
