gamecock22 They have this dash cleaner/protectant at Murrays called 303 Aerospace Protectant ($7.99) the company claims its a "SPF" for your interior. Stuff works great! I put it on once a month and you get the great deep rich black of armour all but with no grease feeling(omits the fading also). I have the top down all summer and with armour all you get the dust build up. This stuff has an anti static solution built into it and with the wind from driving it blows the dust and dirt off. Makes a quick interior clean up really easy! I rate it a 5 of 5 and recommend it highly.

Armor all is prolly the worst thing you can detail the interior with specially in the hotter states. You want to condition the plastic not dry it out.

NP, I had a extra set of door surrounds that looked like crap scrapes ect ect on them. Well I sat down and with a tooth brush cleaned them up with some water/soap ect ect. Let them dry then put a healthy coat of that exterior Ultra-Kote on them and it looked like I had put a fresh paint job on them and couple months later they still look new. It's some bad arse stuff!

Oh and dont worry Im a clean freak about my jeep also most of the time.

interior i use armor non grease formula. i pull out my carpet if need be and hose it off.
Armor All? Get you some Meguiars products they are top notch for car detailing. If you can find a meguiars truck while they are unloading at a Car Wash, see if they have these two products. They should have them in 1 Gallon jugs.

Meguiars Detailer Professional's Choice : Water Based Dressing
Use this on inside plastics

And

Meguiars Ultra-Kote All Purpose Dressing and Preservative

Use this on exterior plastics like fender flares or Wheel Wells to make them shine, it has silicone in it to help protect the plastics from the weather and road dirt/grime/mud.

paint care??

Now i know many of you "hardcore guys" never wash or keep your jeep clean. so shut up and dont post with lame comments

BUT i don't like my crap looking like ass and falling apart. after i wheel it i clean it, check for loose or worn parts and then wheel it more...
what products do you guys use??? any tips or tricks????

Exterior
i use a Claybar to get things clean and i wax it once before winter and once before summer.

my wax of choice at the moment is Zymol, stuff kicks ass and works fast.
I dont use tire dressings, and ive painted my flares with Krylon Fusion satin black. although krylon fusion in my case hasn't held up to off road abuse.

interior i use armor non grease formula. i pull out my carpet if need be and hose it off.

I usually power wash the heck out of my drivetrain and suspension/frame
Ive found that spraying the frame and other parts with WD40 after a good mud run will make everything look brand new. my frame and suspension aside from scratches and dents look new. a big reason i wash things down and get the mud outa everything is because i work on my jeep and i hate getting crap in my eyes and i dont like rust.

now im not religouse about cleaning the jeep but i try to keep it clean.
