Umm, ask the dealer, I know if we didn't have a part, because it was on B/O, and had to locate one from another dealer, warranty picked up the shipping costs too, plus a mark up on the part being bought from another dealer.
Sounds like your dealer is a little lazy. It's nothing to run a parts search by the parts department on a part number to see who has one in stock.

|Jeep_VT||I have one that's brand new (re manufactured), that I'm selling, sadly, I don't think it would fit your jeep. It's for a 97 4 banger. Hope you get your Jeep fixed soon!|

|treesandrocks||Quick update, apparently a PCM isn't worth buying unless it's new (as they go bad often, and most used ones were discarded for a reason). Called a bunch of other local dealerships and found one. I have to pay for shipping, but cost of part is covered under warranty!|

Need help finding powertrain control module
Hey Guys, just picked up my 05' Wrangler X from auction about 5 days ago. Been working on getting it ready for a road trip (moving from Orlando FL to Colorado Springs CO). Every day I find a new issue.
Today I took the car to the Jeep dealership and had them do a diagnostic and turns out I need a powertrain control module. Only issue is that part is on back order for 2 weeks. My lease here is up tomorrow, my lease in CO is just beginning. I'm trying to locate a new PCM online but can't find one. Is a PCM the same thing as an ECM? If so any one know where I can get one ASAP seeing as I need to get my furniture out by tomorrow (Uhaul trailer has already been rented) Any and all input would be greatly appreciated guys.
