That's what my front axle u joints did back in June... I hate replacing them darn things. Especially in the front driveshaft.

Scouts are awesome. I love those things.

I carry a spare u joint but it's mostly for anyone who needs it. I check them the day before I go wheeling. If it breaks on the trail 99% of the time it's taking the shaft out with it lol.

I'll be satisfied with lockers, 35" mud tires, better gearing, and debating the transfer case Teralow conversion or the Rubicrawler doubler.
Oh wow! That sounds really cool. No desire to go that big on this one either. I still want to be able to drive it to work occasionally. Maybe a future one I'll go nuts on lol

There are a lot of good write ups here and couple other places on web that make it fairly straight forward. I'll post some pics once it's complete. Here are a couple of front end progress shots

Haha chocolate milk is what I wake up to every morning. I'm hypoglycemic so need that quick hit first thing or I get cranky.

Lol see what you started gus! Now everyone thinks I like to watch. I just got back from shopping so now just get my stuff ready for work tomorrow. Fun...hmmm well I play pool, lately been catching up playing video games, and the beach is a priority right now. Not really into tv or movies so i stay away from that. And from time to time still play sports. Around here no places to go to watch live sports and concerts well I would have to travel a bit to go to a good one. What you fellas up to tonight?

black ops 2 I should add I have the 2.5 so didn't have to regear since it had 4.10's to match my front
Yesterday 09:16 PM
black ops 2 I built mine. 8.8 from junkyard for $100. Got the 8.8 perch and U-bolt kit from Ruffstuff and new rotors brake line etc from East Coast. It does help I have a machine shop at work and a welder.

Oh, and evening daters.

JGreen06TJ Ops - Did you build your own 8.8 or find one ready to go? I'm debating having a friend build me an 8.8 (I don't weld) or buying a crate D44 set up the way I would have the 8.8 built (4.88, chromolly axles, and Detroit locker). The G2 D44 seems almost as cheap as building the 8.8 then having it regeared and locked.
