PORKY-JK I can't say that I have,I have a 07 x model and never had that happend, although the Rubicon I was in on this trip was a 09 had something weird happen. We were in the middle of a trail and the 4L got kicked out back into the N. It was weird but nothing with the actual transmission reading 1 on the gauge. If it continues to do it I would ask a professional.

Stallion289TX Thanks for the feedback. I ended up going to Hidden Falls on Saturday and I had a great deal of fun. I did not have enough time to go through most of the trails but I plan to visit the park again in November, once weather gets cooler. I had a chance to use every feature in my Rubicon: 4H; 4L; Lockers; Swaybar disconnect but I experienced an issue with the 4L - when I drove out of the trail while still in 4L, the transmission changed from 'D' to '1'!!!!!!! I put it in 'N' and shifted back to 'D' but it still showed ' gear 1' so I shofted back to 4H then moved it back to 4L and it still showed '1'!!!!!!!!! I tried it this morning and when I shifted to 4L, it showed 'D' I'm not really sure what may have caused this issue (have you experienced this before?

Thanks

I'm in Houston and the nearest place is General Sam's which I heard is not a pleasant trail (nothing but mudding). I appreciate your feedback.
The trails are awesome, there's fun for everyone, trails for stock vehicles and trails for people that have a few mods. I know they have 2 cabins that go for 120 a night, they r ok of u want to sleep in doors. They have 1 room with 2 twin beds, and space on the floor between them both for sleeping bags for kids or a twin size air mattress. Has kitchen and plates and bowls and a restroom with full shower. I know near the RV section they have showers available for people that camp out. As water I'm sure they do have some near the RV section that you can connect a water hose too. Another thing ere at hidden falls the land is real dry so there is a lot of dry dirt and river sut (however u spell it) I believe you can set up a tent anywhere in the camping area. Right now there is a fire ban but when we went we asked if we could use a propane grill to cookout and they gave us the ok. The nights are amazing peace and quiet at its finest. Hope this helps. They have videos all over YouTube and alot of pictures on the website. Hiddenfallsdventurepark.com but they show alot of high level trails on pictures but plenty of trails for stock Jeeps as well.

PORKY-JK Heading home now, the park is like 30-40 miles out of Austin. We had a blast, very peaceful and relaxing in the trails. The nights r dead silent. But as for inside of Austin I wouldn't know.

aaronmrichard Sounds fun, though I have not moved to the area yet. Is there a Jeep group in the Austin area?
