JKEK That confirms my suspicions. I agree that the tilt is a PITA but like you I haul kayaks and canoes and it does a great job at that.

I'm leaning toward a safari top and cab cover to get me through most of the winter. Hardtop only if we end up with some brutal weather like we had a couple weeks last Feb.

Thanks

jk'n I have that rack on my JKU with dual tops. This past summer I had the hard top on all summer because I use the rack with my four kayaks. The reason the soft top is not on is because when taking the soft top down, it folds back. The rack has a tilt back feature to allow the soft top to fold back. When I put the rack into tilt back position on the supplied metal supports, the top would not clear the rack to open. I haven't tried it since. I can tell you that it is such a PITA to deal with the rack to tilt it back; even if I could lower the top, I don't know if it is worth it to do it. The rack is built like a brick shlt house. I love using it to put my kayaks up there. But if you purchased it for its versatility with a soft top I'd say you got it for the wrong reason. Right now I'm considering making a device to make it easy to lift the rack off of the jeep. I'd rather be running the soft top without the rack so I can use the features of the soft top than run it with the rack on. The rack is awesomely solidly built but just not versatile as they would lead you to believe in the advertisements. I think you'll have to sort this out on your decision to purchase a soft top.

Kargo Master Congo Cage and Trektop NX

I have a Kargo Master Congo Cage and am thinking about getting a Trektop NX. I have a 2011 JKU. It pains me to think about unbolting the Congo Cage every time I want to take the top down. Anyone have experience with this combo. My concern is the only way to fold the Trektop down is to fold it back. Bestop videos seem to show that. Just hoping there may be a better way.

It might cool down a bit here in central Texas soon and I am ready to park the hard top for the winter.
