Jerry Bransford A Wrangler does fine with a winch rated anywhere from 8,000 lbs. to about 9,500 lbs. of winching capacity.

Winch Size

Just wanting too know how would you determine winch size for your vehicle. I've heard get a winch 1 times half the weight of your vehicle. But I've also heard just get a winch 2 times the weight of your vehicle because of resistance caused by mud, hills, sand and such... Any advice? Thanks.
