Warn Winch is probably the #1 winch company out there. But...I have had a Smittybuilt SRC8 with synthetic Rope winch on my 1998 for two years now and has been used many times, and has never let me down. At the time I got it, 4 Wheel Parts offered a life time warranty for an extra $50. Im about to take it in for a leaky seal and see if they will either fix or replace it under that warranty.

My Warn M8000 on my 2004 has been a great winch and has pulled a full size Chevy 3500 up a sand dune after getting stuck. The only problem with the Warn that I had was that the instructions lacked majorly on how to install. Without the previous know-how from installing the Smittybuilt on the 1998 it would have been a whole lot harder.

Good Luck
