HuskerNation I see. My buddy is going to plasti dip his stock 2011 SR5 4Runner wheels and I'm doing my stock wheels. I'll take pictures and let you know what I think. I think your wheel looks pretty good btw.

I actually painted the edge I had originally left silver. It's still on the spare. I am still on the fence about doing the rest of the wheels.

Here is a pic of the entire wheel painted and placed next to the Jeep. Its not actually mounted.

I actually used the Plasti Dip on my spare today. I taped off the edge I didn't want it painted to keep it somewhat two tone.

I didnt mount it but did place it up to the wheel to see if I liked it. First immpression was I didnt care for it. I am going to leave the color on the spare for a few days to see if I change my mind.

Here are a few pics.

Thanks for the reply. I found some good videos on You Tube about painting rims and removal as well. Gonna give it a try as soon as I find the time.

"Temporarily" painting my wheels?

I have a set of the stock Grizzly wheels on my TJ. I really like the wheels and the color. It's the darker grey color. I would like to see what a black wheel looks like on there. I was thinking of painting my wheels with Plasti Dip rattle can to see what they look like. Supposedly Plasti Dip is fairly easy to peel once applied. I would think I could make it easier by not sanding the wheel before painting.

What do you guys think? Anyone removed plasti Dip readily before?

Also has anyone painted their Grizzly wheels and have any pics?
