|ESP||Agreed 100%. Get what ever you want on your Jeep and drive it the way you want, explore with it to the places you want, and continue to enjoy it the way you want.|

Sorry to bring back an aging thread, but I thought this was on topic:
A couple of people I showed this mod to think I'm crazy for wanting to do something like that to a very new and expensive vehicle.
(They do not understand obviously.)
It's the same thing that makes me take the same vehicle for joyrides through the pine barrens! It's not about the expense: It's about it being my (CENSORED) Jeep!
Anyhoo, my nephew is getting a Jeep when he gets home from his service overseas and told me I could have HIS OEM front bumper, because HE gets the Jeep thing, and has already ordered aftermarket bumpers for his!
So, win win is what I'm saying. I can carve mine up and hang his like a trophy in the shed against "future need".

|kjeeper10||Any work down in NC? .... I'm serious|

|DonC72||I'll take it to Jeff Daniels Jeep customs here in PA or take all of my mods to my mechanic and let him go to town.|

|DonC72||The lights will probably be a professional install to get the switch in the cab, I know I wont be comfortable doing anything with wiring, so I'll just install ithe loop and let the professionals deal with that. .|

|DonC72||Thanks man, this will help. I might hold of installing until I get lights, as it looks like I may have to Pre wire.|

|DonC72||I just picked up the MBRP one on eBay for 130 out the door. Now to bid on my stubby....|

I saw a complete loop w/ lights on EBay.
Not sure on the make(s) but it looked great, and was a decent price.
Edit: here's the title, don't know why It did not copy as a URL ??
Wrangler JK Front Bumper Light Bar Kit Slim Fog Lights

|ESP||Yes. It's called the off camber fabrications front light bar mount by MBRP.|
|09-21-2011 01:27 PM|
|DonC72||Is that the MBRP ? that looks nice and simple.|

^^ I like the way my "stock" bumper has come together now, with a chop, end caps, a light bar, and a skid plate (though you can't see the plate very well in the pics). See here and here.
That driveway looks familiar . . . .

I had that OCF light bar for a while on mine too. It never grew on me but I think it would have looked better on the smaller chopped bumper that I have now and bigger tires. Kinda wished I hadn't sold it.
Here's a pic of mine with it on the stock bumper.

I did talk to Chris already, just have not pulled the trigger.
I am after this (stubby, loop/lights)
|09-21-2011 04:59 AM|
It's certainly inexpensive, and it looks great!
I think I might be in after the newness wears off.

|ESP||Did you get one yet Kjeeper?|

|sell33||That looks great. Kinda makes me want a stubby on my tj...|
|09-19-2011 09:31 PM|
|MTH||Yep, like ESP, I can't imagine going back to my stock bumper after doing this. I like the look so much better, plus I don't have to deal with the weight of an aftermarket bumper and it only costs around $60. Can't beat the bang for the buck, IMO.|

|tboy58||I thought after the first pic-WTF??? Then I saw how you finished and I like it-good job!|

|DonC72||Looks real nice. On my list !|
