I appreciate the head's up on the airbag light and the clock spring
called a local Jeep dealer, I have to stop in, they check my VIN# and if it has not been replaced already I get the work and the part for free, if not, well, it's about $170 for the part


(fingers crossed for recall!)

4point The only way to fix this is by replacing the clock spring.

TO get the light to turn off, you can take the negative lead off your battery, and VERY QUICKLY touch it to the positive lead on the battery. this will reset the 'computer'

if the light comes back on, then you need to have someone address that issue specifically.

the horn? no idea.

I have spied through Google searches that the 1997 Wrangler had a recall for the clockspring, and the defective part may be the reason for the horn not working and the airbag light always being on

Anyone have any idea how I can check/fix the horn and get that light to turn off?
