Pmedg How can you tell that it is a Willy's Edition? And what do you get extra with the Willy's Edition?

Peepers Why did they rip some of the stickers off that willys edition?

RCB Check the quality of the fluids (including the tcase). That is to say, are they dirty (contaminates)? Drive it and see if you get any funny vibrations. I'm sure it probably has an SYE, but just make sure.

Beyond that, the usual stuff.

Shoe First call your insurance comapny, you probably can't get collision insurance on a salvage title and that would rule out financing it.

SportsGal501 ^^^

Have a mechanic that knows Jeeps check it out for you.
If it's good to go,jump on it,it's a 2005 Willy special edition.
Not bad for the price either....good luck!!

Shelby427 What did car fax have to say about it, it shows 22 records.
And the dealer says it welcomes 3rd party inspections.

Pull the car fax, and have the inspection done by someone/place that knows jeeps.
Then go from there.

techflork i'm not the guy to ask but it does look nice! You can totally tell it's been offroaded though so there could be underlying issues with it just make sure your friend knows that. seems like a deal on the outside to me but test drive it and check under it and under the hood. Also look for rust. Other wrangler gurus will chime in though

sell33 Well...if they have any kind of warranty that would help, but I wouldn't shy away just because of a salvage title, sometimes those don't mean much.

That thing looks awesome though!

Thinking of Buying, Thoughts???

OK Need some help from some fellow Jeepers. My buddy is looking to get into a TJ and found this on Auto Trader. Apparently it was a theft repo, which has him a little sketched out, but wanted to see what everyone thinks? All opinions / things to look for / questions to ask of the seller greatly appreciated.
