jcf I have had both, the KM2 mud terrains were not good in the ice/snow but good for everything else. I have the MTR's now & they are a great tire in all conditions. I didn't find that either were particularly loud on the road but out of the two I would say the MTR's are quietest

Irongrave If your gonna get a 35in KM2 I'd look really hard at the Krawler KX, the tire the KM2 is based off of. Also were do you live and what type of wheeling do you do.

aelwero I love MT/R's, but they don't last forever, they are loud (not super swamper loud, but louder than most AT type tires), and they are not exceptional at any one type of terrain... more of an "all around" than a mud tire, but they are monsters aired down, and I've never put a hole in one of em (knock on wood). Can't really say if it's the kevlar or just my luck improving, but I've put plugs into every single set of tires I've ever ran except these...

Scottybing Thanks guys really appreciate the opinions. I like the look of the MTR and thats about it. I think the BFG are gonna be the ones.

mikes04tj This is just my opinion, but i run the km2s. I have put alot of miles on them, street and trail, and i don't have any complaints at all. Just by seeing a friends jeep that run the goodyear mtrs, they SEEM to wear a little faster than the km2s. Like I said it's just my opinion and what i have noticed.

Irongrave I'd spend a little more money and run theBFG Krawler KX or pitbull radial rocker over either one of those tires. I have KM2s on my tow rig and have wheeled a set in the past. They are a great tire and stick well to the rocks. I have not been impressed with how the MT-Rs have run up here. Unless you can get your hands on a sticky set (then you can't drive them on the street)

Bfg km2 or Goodyear mtr 35s

Ok so I have been reading a few reviews and looking at the tread pattern of both tires and I still am undecided about which one. Any imput from anyone who has used these tires off road well be great.
