Shelby427 According to the chart, 36 tooth gear for the speedometer gear on a 4:11 with 33's

Lando25 Im not an expert but I believe that your speedometer is ran of a spedo gear not a pinion gear. Hopefully someone else can chime in to give you more info.

Noob Jeeper! Need HELP!

I just bought a 98 TJ on friday. The speedometer wasn't working when I bought it. I bought a speed sensor today and installed it... It didn't work. So I wired up the new harness that came with it....Still didn't work. I was thinking it could be the pinion gear itself but it got dark and I don't have a garage. If it is the pinion gear what tooth count should I buy for 4:11 gears and 33'' tires??
