Richd1963 Mine does the same thing. When I first bought it in 2009 (used with 24K) I had the dealer check it out and they said it was normal (the hesitation and rough idle at times). I recently had my Jeep smogged and the mechanic said it was running great. The emissions coming out of the tail pipe are lower than the emissions in the ambient air we breathe. No kidding, he showed me on the computer. After that, I just came to the conclusion that the Jeep is running fine. Just saying.

Slight drop in idle.

I have a 2005 Jeep Tj (Wrangler) with a 4.0L engine. Iíve been having a problem for about a year now and its driving me nuts. My idle is acting up. It's not a major issue but I need it fixed. It has an intermitting idle drop. She'll idle normal then drop about 40 or 50 rpms for a few seconds then goes back up. I had it hooked up to a computer and its throwing no codes what so ever. I changed the spark plugs, changed out the TPS and had all the injectors cleaned. I also checked for a vacuum leaks. Nothing seems to work. I also have a slight hesitation when starting off and sometimes takes to cranks to start. Im hoping its not the fuel pump. Any help would be appreciated.
