|jeepers29||I don't think thaat is too bad from what I have seen in central Texas. Jeeps hold their value around here. You may be able to find a better deal if you hold out and keep looking but it could take some time. As far as a/c, mine has it and I have not used it once this summer as I have bee doorless & toplees all summer.|

Keep shopping around for that money you can defiantly find a 4l 6cyl and probably a year or two newer. It doesn't hurt to look it just takes so time but in the end it's worth it.
But if you can't find anything I'm sure she'll still have it

Reasonable price for a TX TJ?
I've been shopping for my first Jeep for a few months.
Friend of a friend is selling her '97 wrangler with only 65k miles, garage kept...it was her weekend toy but she never took it "off roading" except to the beach. It is red has a small lift and upsized tires.
The down side is that it needs a new top and it's a 2.5 4 banger with no A/C. I do want an auto but not sure about the 4cyl. No A/C isn't a deal breaker but definitely not a plus. Anyway, this thing looks real clean, no rust or dents. I was thinking of offering 7,000. Is that about right or should I keep shopping? Just looking for a weekend toy to get muddy or take to the beach. Please let me know what you think! I'm going to go test drive it later today.
