crj101 I don't do any 4 wheelin, this is my primary vehicle I drive it to and from work (about 75 miles round trip) and do a little in town driving.

Rawkon prolly the spiders. pop open that rear diff cover and snap a pic.
11-21-2007 10:15 PM
AzTJ The $500 would be for new gears and whatever is busted inside, and maybe more on labor if you take it to a shop. But if you get a whole new axle, expect to spend a lot more.

tobycat1 Dana 35 i think

crj101 What will I get for $500? I talked to a buddy today that works in a junkyard a he said the same money but we didn't have time to get into details, I wasn't sure which rear end I have.
11-21-2007 09:40 PM
AzTJ It'll cost as much as a regear, about $500 for the rear alone, depending on what need replacing.
11-21-2007 09:28 PM
crj101 Running about 75mph on I-65 when it let loose with a metal breaking & clanging noise. It will not pull in 2 wheel drive. Drive shaft is still in place and turns when jeep rolls.
11-21-2007 09:21 PM
Rawkon how did you brake it and what are the symptons
11-21-2007 09:06 PM
tobycat1 If he broke the rear gears, then it wont move in 2wd
11-21-2007 09:03 PM
dwdrums801 does it move in 2wd?

Rear End

I think I may have broken my rear end gear today! Any idea how much its going to cost me to fix it. It will move in 4 wheel drive.
