Found this under the carpet of my new to me jeep. Can't believe I missed this. I had pled the carpet if the driver side when I bought it and no rust.
I did what I could for now. Wire brush and grind rust off, cut out the bad spot, and primed with rust oleum. Planning on purchasing Por15 if I can figure out where they sell it. Going over it with that and then using a paint bed liner for the interior and bottom.

Over the last week I received and installed some vinyls, made some more paracord accessories and today I'm installing my new/used kc fogs. Still have the 41mb-99tj vinyls for the hood (not sure if I want to install), door stars (black door, black vinyls) so idk) and like six 1 inch stars which idk where to put (opinions?). Oh, I also installed a flat black cowboys star on my rear window, it's hard to see. The hood star is too small I think I may get a larger one.

Replaced the torn up Bestop Black Diamond, loose, flappy, thin top with an old 2003 sail cloth OEM top in Black Diamond. It is easily twice as thick and is much softer, folding easily and neatly where the Bestop one folded hard and sharply, always looking like it was about to crack or split (which it did over time).
The old OEM one was stored in a box since about 2005 when the owner bought a hard top after moving up north. Recently he moved back and sold the TJ. After that he found the old top, but not the windows or the frame.
I bought it from him for cheap. It is in excellent physical shape, but the dirt and pollen that sat on it since 2006 stained it. But the edges that fold over and connect to the windows are still looking pretty new and dark.
I removed my torn up Bestop and installed this very old top. Perfect fit, tight as a drum, looks great (except for the color on the top).
No more rain coming in through the holes above my head, no more loose, flappiness on the highway, and the Bestop windows fit perfectly and still look pretty new.
Time to get ready for work. See y'all!

|MichaelR||My transmission had a mass failure event last Friday (42RLE) on my way home from work. Had a new one put in this week and picked it up yesterday. Nice to have it back. (Had hoped I wouldn't have to replace it before the hemi install, but it looks like that's a few years out anyway.)|

|CoyRoberson||This is what I did today. Hit a deer on the highway. Luckily I slowed down enough to where it didn't cause a lot of damage, but it still messed up the fender a bit.|

Today I bought and installed some Truck-Lite LED's on my 98 TJ - I picked them up at 4WP for $370.99 + tax. They went in super fast, can't wait til its dark to test them.
I haven't been on in a little while but in the past 2 months I have done the following:
Bought/Installed Bestop Trektop NX - I think the top was original, it had seen better days
B/I New Upper Door Skins & Frames - Had the sliders, hated them
B/I turn signal arm - old one had the cancelling tit broke off, had to shut it off manually
B/I new headlight switch - started acting up, had to hold it just right to work
B/Had Installed 31x10.50 Goodyear Wrangler Authority's from wallie world, on sale for 143 ea. w/some pro comp 51 in flat black. opted for a set of 5 - I can't stand when someone upgrades wheels/tires and keeps the dinky spare
B/About to Install - Pro Comp 2x2 LED Flood Lights on Lower Windshield Brackets
Lastly I installed a sweet arse jolly roger plate on the front bumper.
I am probably forgetting something but needless to say I have dropped some cash in the last few months.

Blacked out my headlights without using tint by doing a JK headlight conversion with modified housings.

Didn't realize this post would kick up so much debate, I just figured I was in the clear because from what I looked up, the union should always be on the right, which is the left to the viewer. But maybe it is different with vehicles... either way I still like it and have no plans of changing it.
If you type in American flag decals on Amazon, it's the one by RAD DEZIGNS. I've ordered a ton of decals from them and I haven't had a problem with any. As far as I could tell, they don't have reverse flags decals though, another company does but their reviews suck. WWCH posted a link earlier of some regular and inverted ones for sale, if you'd rather have that.
