Fenders back to black

Just bought my tj, first thing i did was torch the fenders back to their original black colour. It was my first time doing it and i wasn't super consistent with using the blow torch so it did come a little patchy, but i then applied a cream that shines black plastic (good for all interior and exterior black detailing). I must say they now look great. Simple but makes my jeep looks much newer

thedawgshow Since I stayed up until 2AM last night doing this, you get the pics today.

The other day I found this....



Looked up underneath it to find this.....



So yesterday I grabbed my 2 youngest



and went to town and purchased a 33mm socket, some more PB Blaster, a pitman arm puller and this.......



After a little colorful language getting the lines off, it was time for that pitman arm. I broke this puller.



The second one.....



Ahhhhhhhh.............



Out with the old, and in with the new!!!



Took it for a short test drive late last night and everything seemed fine. Drove it 40 miles to work and 40 miles back home. Seems softer with a little more play in it to the left. Hmmmmm...........No leaks yet though!!!!!!

You normally use an MML when you need to correct driveline angles. Mine are correct because I have an SYE/DC driveshaft setup. No TC drop or MM lift needed.

Also, you would be smart to have one if you have a BL, but I do not. I have a 3.5" suspension lift on 33s...

Ok that makes more sense then just replacing them for the sake of it. If mine ever go bad I would probably go this rout. Just a question, but why didn't you go for the MML version?

mrcarcrazy I loosened all my control arm bolts, then started torquing them back down. 130ft. lbs sucks, especially after it starts to rain on your back as you attempt to tighten them. I hope to finish tightening when I get home from work. If you're wondering "why is he giving himself things to do?" Troubleshooting a clunk. When in doubt make sure everything is tightened properly.

You might post a new thread under the tech forum appropriate for the vehicle you are working on. With more info about what you're trying to wire / the problem you're trying to solve.

Blazor Washed the Jeep, cleaned the inside out, changed the oil and filter, and filled it up w/ gas and window cleaner fluid. Jeep is happy, BUT it did say to me "I know I'm clean now and all, but cant we take the kids over the mountain next weekend" lol.

Mamefreak Drove 2 hours to and from the Renn Faire. Got to test out the new thermostat and water pump I installed. Did a consistent 75-85 mph the whole time and it never broke 203, most of the time it was at 199 or so. Also decided to see how fast it would go but my girlfriend yelled at me lol

My son and I hopped in mine yesterday to take him back to his mom. I didn't realize how chilly of a ride it was going to be with the doors off!
