OTC Adapter Set #7894 (Dodge/Jeep 4WD Upper and Lower Ball Joints)
The kit tool comes in a nice case, with the C frame, forcing screw, three receiving tubes, an installing adapter and a removing adapter. The Jeep kit comes with four parts to use with the tool set.
I bought them both on Amazon and got them quickly, packed pretty dang well. I paid $182.03 shipped. Took only a few days. It was like over $300 here through O'Reilly's, and NAPA was closer to $400. This was not cheap at all and I will hardly ever use it. But it is there for when I need it for our three other vehicles. And it is very good quality.

I have to change the ball joints in my JK and a car I am about to sell. Then we have two Hondas, one of which will need this soon enough. The newer one is not that old yet and will be fine for some time. So I will use it a few more times and probably sell it on craigslist next year. But it is nice to have for right now.
Here is all I am doing to my TJ over the next month or that I have done recently:
ZJ tie rod swap (done, and excellent!)
Timken unit bearings
Spicer axle U joints
Synergy ball joints
Centric premium rotors
Black Magic pads
Rear D44 pinion seal
Service both diffs and install Lube Lockers
Fel-Pro valve cover gasket
Novak TC shifter cable
Teraflex super short SYE
Tom Woods DC driveshaft
Remove old 4" lift with TC drop
Metalcloak 3.5" lift with double adjustable aluminum UCAs and LCAs
OME Nitrocharger shocks
Discos of some sort
It will be like my 11 year old baby is reborn! HAHAHA!!!
We just put a 2.5" AEV/Bilstein lift on the JK with some JKS discos. It is almost like a real Jeep now. ;-) Now my beat-to-crap TJ finally will get the love it deserves. I am completely stoked, too...
Good luck with your stuff, man!

Also I worked on more of the design today. Will finish the base of the bumper tomorrow morning, cleaning it up and getting ready to mount the stinger and support bar. It looks funny and is a different but it's my bumper, my design, and I like it and will function how I want. Will post finished pictures of the base tomorrow.

I was planning on just renting a tool like that, but I sure would like to have it for myself, like you. Tell me to mind my own business if needed, but if you would be so kind, what brand and how much did it set you back?

|Mamefreak||oh one note of advice, in the back driver side there is a grounding screw, the cover goes under the edge of it, I had to put a long socket extension on the edge and tap it with my dead blow hammer a little. I noticed that my passenger side screws didnt line up well until I did this.|

I own one of the new goPro +3 black units and I keep forgetting to put it in photo mode and use the remote and take photos so I can Keep my phone clean and away... I promise I'll do write ups on my aftermarket double radiator thermostatically controlled transmission cooling system :-)
And it's M.A.M.E as in the arcade emulator :-) been a fan since the early days and in a previous life I used to contribute board dumps.

1. Care to do a short writeup on this? I need to do it soon.
2. Mame as in the famous Broadway musical or M.A.M.E. as in Multiple Arcade Machine Emulator?
(I like both. I prefer the latter of the two, however. I used MacMAME for years.)

|Mamefreak||Replaced the badly leaking valve cover gasket with a Fel-Pro one. Took a while and was a pain but it's done and doesn't seem to leak|

I got some upgraded Spicer U joints, Synergy ball joints, Black Magic pads, Centric Premium rotors and Timken unit bearings about a month ago. I have almost all of the needed tools ready to go, save for a good set of snap ring pliers - and this baby that Brown Santa just dropped off.
I now have the very nice (USA-made) OTC Ball Joint Service Set #7249 with the four-piece Jeep adapter kit, which happens to fit in the plastic case with the full set. NICE!
Daddy is going to be hip deep in TJ front end work about a week from today.

|DJs97TJs||Decided to pull the trigger on a set of 35x14.5r15 nitto mud grapplers and a ford 8.8. Just out of curiosity the guy wants $200 for the whole 8.8 assembly disk to disk. Is this a good price?|

|ptoncannon||On this bumper I'm building, I need to mount my winch on it, but the frame rails are covered by those boxes i put in yesterday and I posted pics yesterday... The steel is 3/16th inch thick and is mounted very sturdily to the frame. If I were to just mount the winch directly to the bumper, in between the 2 boxes just inside the frame rails would the metal hold up? I was thinking it would just act like a winch plate since it's 3/16th inch but just need to get a second opinion.|

Made some progress on my stinger build today!! Got it fully mounted today and put these boxes on the side for stylistic purposes and to mount the support bar on. Will finish boxing these in tomorrow morning but I'm really liking the way it's turning out.
I think we will put the support bar on next, which we will make out of rectangular tubing and then the stinger will be after that. I just can't wait to finish it!

Decided to upgrade the speakers in the soundbar. Threw in some fiber fill from a pillow I had bought for another speaker project. Sounds pretty good.
