X2. For mom it's a jku. For me the creature comforts are less important. So it depends on what you want, I love my 4.0 but the 2011 jku I drove was pretty good on pedal response.

webegreg Thanks Mr. E...this is what I am hearing from just about everyone that the 4.0l is the one to go with...your right about holding their values...06 with less than 30m miles are going for around $19M..thanks again

Mr. E 99.9% will tell you the 4.0. It is an incredibly reliable engine that will last forever. The only reason I bought my 2011 was because getting a low mileage 2006 would have only cost me about 3k less because Jeeps hold their resale value. I live in a military town so all the dealers figure if I don't buy it for that price someone else will. If you can find an 06 for a price you are happy with do it.

Looking for advice

I'm looking to purchase a wrangler rag top...2006 has a 4.0 l 6cyl. and a 2008 has the 3.8l 6cyl...asking which is the preferred engine...
