Ntgas Anything to keep the kids quiet in the back so I can spend more time in my JK has got to be a must.

It also opened the door to other mods that my wife could not see the benefit of. "the kids have the DVD, you have the soft top"

Now it's time for the bumpers, lift and so on. :-)

Thanks for that info! I'm not sure if I want the ones that include a DVD player, that seems redundant, but whatever I guess =) Having the zip covers is a HUGE +!
Once I get the Lockpick this will probably not be far behind. Thanks for the info =D

Ntgas Mine were complete swap outs, the original headrests are sat in the garage.

I got mine from eBay, just have to watch out for HK or China cheap ones.

My inspiration came from a US site called OnFair.

You should be able to pick up a pair off of eBay without any problems, just watch out for the sellers feedback and customer service as this tends to be the only real difference between what is sold.

I went for 9" HD screens but you can get lesser quality.

Both the boys love them, they can watch the same thing or different with the way I have set them up.

You have to watch out for the fact that they will want them on for all trips for the first month or so, which can be challenging.

Once zipped up it's hard to tell they are there.

Best of luck on your search, they are well worth the effort if you have kids. :-)

Merlin75 oh sweet! I like the zip covers... Do you have any more details about where you got them?
Were they addons that you insert into the existing headrest or replacements with the screen already built in?
Thanks for such a fast reply on the thread =)

Ntgas Easy to do they just thread down the back of the seat.

Do a search on YouTube for headrest DVDs there are some videos about how to instal.

Here are mine, they are run off a Kenwood head unit as the Jeep one was too expensive.

I also have front and rear cams hooked up.

Headrest monitors?

Has anyone retrofitted embedded headrest screens into the 07-11 JKU for rear seat entertainment off the stock RER MyGig? I've ordered the Lockpick CHR550 and believe this will give me the ability to enable the VES output to drive aux monitors but would rather not go the route of strapping them onto the headrests...
