|whitebuffalo||or do like i do........my tranny is so worn i can float the gears like it aint no thang. no clutch required|

|Triple88a||i do that w/ my stick lol i usually have my foot on the side/sill since i dont have foot pegs.. Just keep your distance and when you have to shift, pull ur foot back in and shift.. when you get to about a good speed on a long straight.. take it out again|
|12-05-2007 06:42 PM|
and yeah i cant see doing that with a stick, but maybe its just cause im not that great at it, and by the time i get on teh highway im going to fast to want my foot hanging out

Its funny how not many people realize those are used for when cruising around town and not while wheeling.
As for the left foot on the brakes.. uuuhhhh okay?... how do you drive stick shift then where you have 3 pedals? Right foot is only for gas and brake and left is for clutch but in auto that becomes useless unless you are racing or other "high" performance driving instead of just cruising in the city... If some 1 disagrees then they might need to go and talk to every driving school since thats what they teach us.

|GrnTJ||The enzyte guy seems a bit hostile. And for the record, I wasnt saying I did not like them. I think you did a good job scoob and they look great. But they would have no use for me since I never have my foot out.|
|12-05-2007 11:46 AM|
i cant believe everyone is throwing a fit about these. the rare occasions where i take my jeep out on the highway, my foot is on the sill, mainly b/c my legs are too damn long and i don't have an adjustable seat. I've thought about making something like this but just never have. if you wanna be a safety patrol, then do it all the way. jeeps aren't the safest vehicles. go buy a minivan.
i say good job, i like them.
|12-05-2007 10:46 AM|
I like them as well. I never had the thought for something like that, I always put my foot in the door jamb, or on the nerf bar.

|tazmann910||Oh yeah Scooby, awesome job. If you get in the mood of selling some, send me a message. I think I would take a set.|
|12-05-2007 10:04 AM|
I like 'em. Very cool Scooby. I keep my left foot in the door jamb as much as possible, it's more comfortable considering me feet don't touch the floor boards and my knees kill me after a long day wheeling with them hanging.
Negative comments are fine by the way, some people should just learn a little tact.
|12-05-2007 10:01 AM|
I like to keep my feet ready for a brake or something like that.
|12-05-2007 10:00 AM|
Wow, this comment was uncalled for, party pooper. The pegs on the door hinges are no worse if you were riding a motorcycle. Also I bet you also don't wheel your jeep, because rolling you jeep could cause injury as well.
And for that matter, driving in general is a high risk activity, so why not enjoy the things in life that make you happy and don't criticize the things that make other people happy by what they are doing.
If it bothers you that much, follow the rule, "if you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all."
Damn, now I am all fired up...comments like this really p!ss me off.

|mrbigjeep||he never said he was selling them.|
|12-05-2007 09:46 AM|
I will spare you the comments from my wife, who when she sees some kid zipping down the highway with a foot outside the jeep… well lets just say it is less a less than kind evaluation of said driver.
Hey sell them with a razor knife too, a kit if you will, so the buyer can make the perfect tri-fecta, cut the sensors for the airbag, slice the seatbelts off, and can let his legs protrude from the jeep at the same time!!
He will look really cool!!! (of course looks are deceiving)
The best part is when the ambulance gets there, they can take everything from the knee down to the hospital in a zip-loc bag.
Of course none of us would ever get in an accident.

Those are pretty cool but I would hate to be driving around with my shorts on and a bee fly up in that nice big air pocket I was cooling my nards with.
....that could bee devastating.

|rebelBullDawg325||i've gotta stick but when i hit the long open stretches i love bein able to throw a leg out. right now i just put my foot down on the step bar but these look sweet. not to mention your passenger doesnt need his/her foot for you to drive. great idea and engineering man|
|12-04-2007 07:45 PM|
|GrnTJ||Haha, oh. Well I was reffering to the fact that I have a stick but I still think they are usless as well.|
|12-04-2007 07:40 PM|
in my opinion these things are useless. i have an auto tranny, but i always drive with the left foot on the brake and the right foot on the gas.
|12-04-2007 07:29 PM|
|GrnTJ||I could never have these because I need both feet when Im drivin/wheelin mine.|
