So..lookie there we have saved you $79. If you would have ordered the set up from Qtec at $99.00 plus somewhere around $10 for shipping, I think this thread has done some good.
**This thread has been known to save people $79 or more just based on the content of said thread.

|tazmann910||Easier than a sound bar, and a lot less wires...|
|12-05-2007 10:12 AM|
It should be as simple as LF + - / RF + -
|12-05-2007 10:00 AM|
|foxinthemudd||I just want to make sure that I hook up the tweeters to the right wires. I installed my sound bar myself I should be able to figure this out right?|
|12-05-2007 09:58 AM|
|tazmann910||This was a very easy upgrade, took me about 30 minutes to do. As you can see the wiring comes towards the front and then back to the head unit. Very easy install.|
|12-05-2007 09:53 AM|
|foxinthemudd||cool ya I'll have to look into getting a set with x-overs maybe I can sucker one of my buddies into helping me wire them up|
|12-05-2007 09:24 AM|
|cherokee980||The tweeters should have some sort of x-over or capacitor to block out all the low end frequency.|
|12-05-2007 09:17 AM|
Look closly at the close up picture, they are glued in with silicon sealent and I coated the back of them with the sealent as well so to resist some of the heat. Plus the tweeters are in a plastic housing so they should be fine.
Just tie them into the regular speaker connections, that is all i did.
|12-04-2007 11:52 PM|
those don't get too hot in there??? it looks damn good. I would just be worried about how hot they get when I'm runnin the heater...
one more question for yall how do tweeters hook up to the deck? I know how to do the speakers but have no idea about how to run tweeters.
thanks for the pics again Taz
|12-04-2007 11:07 PM|

|foxinthemudd||that would be great thanks taz|
|12-03-2007 10:38 PM|
|tazmann910||I will have to go out and take some, and take the dash apart to get the pic. Give me a few days and I will send them to you. this upgrade only cost me 25 bucks.|
|12-03-2007 10:33 PM|
|12-02-2007 07:57 PM|
|tazmann910||I have something a little cheaper for ya. I mounted my horn tweeters in the center air ducts, I glued them in there and they work great. Plus they are hidden and protected. Just a thought.|
