tazmann910 It goes up on the first day the Christmas Story is played on TV, which this year was the day after thanksgiving, and it goes into storage with the holiday decorations.

Just as an FYI, I would say 99.9% of any set of tweeters you buy should have a x-over or at least some sort of capacitor with them. If you are looking to save a little money (don't laugh, they work great), go to Wal-mart and get one of their $15 - $20 set of tweeters. I have them in my truck, my wife's car, and my Jeep.

tazmann910 Easier than a sound bar, and a lot less wires...

It should be as simple as LF + - / RF + -

tazmann910 This was a very easy upgrade, took me about 30 minutes to do. As you can see the wiring comes towards the front and then back to the head unit. Very easy install.

cherokee980 The tweeters should have some sort of x-over or capacitor to block out all the low end frequency.
12-05-2007 08:17 AM
tazmann910 Look closly at the close up picture, they are glued in with silicon sealent and I coated the back of them with the sealent as well so to resist some of the heat. Plus the tweeters are in a plastic housing so they should be fine.

Just tie them into the regular speaker connections, that is all i did.
12-04-2007 10:52 PM
foxinthemudd those don't get too hot in there??? it looks damn good. I would just be worried about how hot they get when I'm runnin the heater...

one more question for yall how do tweeters hook up to the deck? I know how to do the speakers but have no idea about how to run tweeters.

thanks for the pics again Taz

foxinthemudd that would be great thanks taz
12-03-2007 09:38 PM
tazmann910 I will have to go out and take some, and take the dash apart to get the pic. Give me a few days and I will send them to you. this upgrade only cost me 25 bucks.
12-03-2007 09:33 PM
foxinthemudd pic?
12-02-2007 06:57 PM
tazmann910 I have something a little cheaper for ya. I mounted my horn tweeters in the center air ducts, I glued them in there and they work great. Plus they are hidden and protected. Just a thought.
