|ranjr||If I remember correctly (may be confusing with Ram), there is a setting in the EVIC that allows you to turn it on/off. All you do is stop and it will hold the brake pressure for a few seconds after you release.|

|lokka||Try getting hold of the manual and reading it cover to cover. That should give you a very good start.|

I was reading lastnight but was to tired to fully understand what i was reading. The article talked about pushing the shifter to the left or right to engage or disengage some system. That is not a fuction of the wrangler is it?
I think it was talking about a TC system. Again i can recall what i was reading.

So is the hill start on all the time or do you have to hit a button or something?
Also how do you use hill descent?
I know about and understand tip start.
How to you unlock the sway bar on the new Rubi?

|daggo66||Hill start will hold the Jeep in place when starting on a hill with a manual transmission. Some people have difficulty with this feature. The key to using it properly is knowing that how much it holds is directly related to how much pressure you apply to the brake prior to starting out.|

I just like the 4door. I just want the rubicon. For me its all in or nothing. I have read about everything on the jeep website. I just didnt know if their was any little detail they didnt talk about. They said very little about their hill start.
I guess im all up to date on their tech then.

The Jeep.com site (as pointed to earlier) has some good basic info.
Since you are new to 4x4's...may I ask why you are looking at an Unlimited Rubi? How will you use this vehicle?

|mikemounlio||I have many questions that i am sure have been answered. I hate to reask a question thats been asked before because of the rage it causes. I only ask this question cause i was on a topic the other day that had all the different off road parts on one page and their info after that. It was great but i didnt have time to read it now i cant find it.|

Not sure what you mean . . . .
You're at a great site for ask jeep specific questions. If you're curious about how engines, or 4wd, or suspensions, etc. work generally, try googling the topic--you'll usually get a wikihow article or something similar that gives the general explanation.
Also try searching your questions here in the JK section. The typical "common" questions have been asked and answered many times, so you can get an overall sense of the answers. For example, try the "advanced search" to look for title threads containing "2011 2012." You'll get a bunch of threads debating whether folks should purchase one or the other.
