|4Jeepn||Not sure how the engine swap will be on gears. My guess is you have 3.73's or lower now. 4.11 only came with the 4 banger and rubi, unless somebody did a gear swap. Consider your crawl ratio, current would be about 40, if you swap in 3.07's.. it will drop to 33. (even with the engine swap. Add 35's in the mix.. some place between 4.11 and 4.88's would be my vote, but that based on the 4.0L.|

Gear ratio NEED HELP!
I am planning a diesel conversion in the future and I'm going to buy a bolt on Ford 8.8, but i need help deciding the gear ratio. It is suggested to get 3.07 with 33" tires for the diesel. but I don't plan on doing to whole conversion for a while. So my question is, which gear set would be the best for both while I'm waiting to get the diesel. I'm trying to only buy gears once, is it possible? I'm running 33s with my D35 i think i have 4.11s right now and its ok, id like a little more power. Also I think i might go to 35s after the diesel swap.
