jjseel Wow, you should be in for a GREAT trip! Your Wife should appreciate the new rig after this!

soupy1957 The heck with Christmas!! I'm waiting for the last two weeks of January, when I'll be driving my 2008 down to Florida from Connecticut. Now THAT'LL be a TRIP!!

Not worrying about the JK holding up...worried about the WIFE "holding up!"

I'm very satisfied with the way the Wrangler feels, considering the steps that Chrysler has taken to improve the "comfort" and "quiet" factors, so she should be fine.

I finally got some leave and will be going back home for the holidays. Home is about 8 hours away in Missouri so it aint that bad of a drive.

kg4kpg I wish. Was planning on it but gas prices and daughters winter break dates didn't work out for me. 1800 round trip SC to Dallas. Did it in a Volvo S80 last spring, man what a ride. Averaged 30 mpg running 70 to 80 all the way. You guys travelling have a good, safe trip.

Eh, it'll be alright. The rig will be happier with me leaving him at home in the garage rather than treking 2400 miles there and back.

1BLKJP No such luck for me. It's 1200 miles from Phoenix to KC. I'll be riding in one of Southwest's rigs for the trip back next week.
