We don't either. That's why the club spends so much time in Kentucky and Southern Indiana. There are a couple small places close by but the trails are pretty mild.

There are none close to me, all in VA or a few hours away. Occasionally there are big Jeep runs at the beach, but I go to Corolla all the time so that's not big for me. Besides, I prefer to play in the mud.

Join a club. You'll have someone to ride with and the club members here are good with helping get you home and some will help with labor for repairs in exchange for beer/pizza.

I pick and choose where I go and how crazy I get. You never know what's going to happen but you can do things to minimize the risk. Then, some times you just say the he11 with it and go for it. That's when it gets fun.

Yeah I was either really stupid when I was younger. Or really lucky...
I was both, but the skills I learned from it do not apply here, and no amount of skill can help the dexterity. It's not within my control. I'll leave it at that.

I don't think that's a lot for the number of Jeeps involved. It's just hit or miss on trail damage. The two broken axle shafts happened just easing into a difficult obstacle. They hadn't even hit the gas yet. Then you see Jeeps bouncing off rocks or trees and it's hard to believe nothing broke.

JGreen06TJ Forgot to post the update. Ball-joint tool made pressing u-joints out/in a little bit easier but I still wouldn't say easy. About the time I got it all back together I noticed I installed it with the grease zerk facing the wrong way. I'll have to take it all apart and start over, but not tonight.

JGreen06TJ Well that didn't quite turn out the way I thought.

Hope everybody had a good day. Sure seems like it's been a long week so far. Leaving mid-afternoon tomorrow to take daughter to a sleepover so at least tomorrow will be a short day. I'm thinking I need to run back to the store for some adult beverages tonight.
