tazmann910 Both very valid places. I guess we need to come up with a date and then a place and then go from there.

Darton - PM me your email address and I will add you to the email distribution I have going where we are discussing the ride.

tazmann910 A Rubi on 32's would be able to make it thru these places. All these places have by-pass areas.

Jase - We need to hook up and I need to bring you over to my buddy's property over in Douglasville, we can practice wheeling your rubi. He has 2 Rubicon's and he can show you what it can do. He wheels his 07 all the time and it is 100% stock and is very capable.

Jase Do you think I could make Beasley (or any of the other suggestions) with stock suspension & 32s? Sure, I have lockers, but I dont really have clearance.

tazmann910 Jase -
Excellent suggestions, and I think that the meet and greet will end up being at one of the places you suggested. I am partial to Beasley.

Rebel -
I don't think this will happen until this spring.

Here is a suggestion, there is a Shamrock run at Morris Mountain the weekend of March 14-16th, (date may be off)

What if we shot for that event?

If not then, what about this event put on by the Southern Four Wheel Drive Association

Location: Coal Creek ORV Area (Windrock), Oak Ridge, Tennessee

Tentative Dates: May 2 - 4, 2008

Trail rides will be at Coal Creek OHV Area (also known as Windrock OHV Area), a privately owned motorized recreation area. It is located just west of Oak Ridge. Coal Creek encompasses 72,000 acres with many miles of trails. It's huge and will allow for as many trail rides as we want.

Guided trail rides on Friday, Saturday and Sunday - everything from easy to extreme!
Camping in our headquarters campground (or stay in a local motel).
Dinner in camp.
Dash plaque and other goodies for your 4x4.
Raffle for donated prizes.

These are really large events and I know the club I belong to will be attending both, so I know I will be there. These events are always a really good time.

rebelBullDawg325 my buddies are in morris mtn this weekend i woulda went but i'm busy with finals for school they've been to gray rock already. liked it alot, will get a report on morris mtn. they did not however like riverrock. they'll be coming with me in theirs jeep and bronco, (i'll actually be riding with them due to i'm on 31's until i get some more cash, hopefully by end of march i'll be doin big upgrades. but we're in just about for sure. we dont mind goin at all, the date is pretty much our only restriction. prefereably after the new yr bc my buddy in the bronc is gettin new shoes for it right after xmas

Jase I'm not sure how much courage I would have for Morris Mountain. I would want to stay on some easier trails since I'm a newb. I would probably try any Lvl 1-2 and maybe some 3s, but would likely want to catch a ride for the 4-5s. It looks like rock rails are a must but they do have some bypasses.

We could also check out River Rock ORV in Milledgeville, GA

This is another place I have heard rock rails are a MUST.

Beasley Knob OHV in Blairsville, GA

Gray Rock ORV in Gardendale, AL (West side of B-ham)

It looks like there are a ton of places we could check out within a few hours of the Atlanta area. I have not heard of any places in SO GA yet.

Georgia Meet and Greet

OK guys and gals, lets start planning a Georgia Meet and Greet. This Meet and Greet can also include Tennessee, Alabama, South Carolina, North Carolina, and Florida Wrangler Froum Members as well.

I guess it would be a Southeast Meet and Greet is someone from each one of those states showed up.

So who is in and where should we go? My vote is for sometime soon and maybe somewhere like Morris Mountain in Alabama.
