TJ DeFenders, with a 5" flare are now available for those who need extra tire coverage to satisfy local laws or just to keep more mud from slinging.
Poke around on our site and you'll also see we now have matching 5" Rear DeFender Flares in both weld-on and bolt-on styles, as well as Crusher Corners for TJ and LJ with integrated 5" DeFender Flares. Here are links to specific items:
So far all of these are steel, but we're working on aluminum versions (no ETA on those yet).

|GoldenSahara00||Well those look awesome. I ordered mine from another site and never got the option, kind if curious what mine will show up with. Likely the plain panels. 4wd doesn't even have the Al xc in stock to ship me anyways though... Hopefully they get them soon so I can get this all installed!|

Poison Spyder DeFender Inner Fender Kits are now available in a VENTED version. The Vented inner fenders help promote airflow through the engine bay, which can be important for slow-moving crawlers in hot climates. The Vented Inner Fender Kit is identical to our regular "Solid" Inner Fender Kit, except that the main center panel has a honeycomb vent pattern that has been CNC laser cut into it.
The vented panels are available in a complete kit for those doing a new DeFender Inner Fender Kit installation. The vented panels by themselves are also available separately for those who already have an existing DeFender Solid Inner Fender Kit installed, but would like to convert to vented.

The TJ DeFender standard height (non-highline) Inner Fender Kits are now available! Now you can do a complete DeFender installation without having to retain and cut the stock inner fenders.
We've installed them on several TJ's with different configurations so far. And what we can say at this point is that we've been able to find a home for everything under the hood, with these installed. Even the stock air box. In the first two shots below, with the stock air box, you can see we had to tweak the grille support rod a bit. But that's because that particular Jeep has a tall coilover shock mount located directly underneath the air box. With a stock shock mount it shouldn't be a problem.
A few more under-hood shots on another rig...
The TJ DeFender Inner Fender Kit may be ordered directly from Poison Spyder or through any of our Authorized Poison Spyder Dealers.

OK here are the first installed photos of the standard height (non-highline) TJ DeFenders with 3" Tapered Flare. This is an install we're doing here, so I should be able to post some finished shots after they've been painted and reinstalled. But here they are bare, for those who've been waiting to see them installed on a TJ...

We've had a few inquiries about the Inner Fender Kit for the standard height TJ DeFenders. We just test-fit the first articles today and they fit great, with only a couple of minor adjustments needed. These should be available very soon.

Our standard TJ DeFenders (non-highline) are now available with 3" Tapered Flares. This is the style of flare used on our 3" YJ DeFenders as well as the TJ "highline" DeFender XC's. Ever since introducing both of those products we've had requests for a similar style for the standard TJ DeFenders, so here they are, in either STEEL or ALUMINUM!
I don't have any photos of them installed on a TJ yet but here are a couple shots of the YJ version to give you an idea what they look like mounted up:
The DeFender™ with 3" Tapered Flare was designed for maximum performance in several aspects. First, it provides the same splash protection of our regular 3" flare, keeping mud and debris from splashing up onto the side of the Jeep. But rather than having a straight side, the edge of the flare tapers inward toward the front of the Jeep, in a line parallel to the tapered edge of the hood. In this manner it tapers from 3" at the back, to about the same width as our "Zero Flare" at the front, providing the same great clearance for articulating tires and tight trails that our Zero Flare provides. DeFenders™ are also available in standard 3" Flare, Zero Flare and Negative Flare versions.

|DTS||1jeeplvr, over time the aluminum will "dull" a little bit from oxidation. But you can polish them periodically if you want them shiny. Or you can "line-grain" them with scotch-brite if you want a brushed look. If you live in an area where they salt the roads in the winter, I'm not sure what the salt will do.|

I don't know if it'll tarnish/ discolor, but it can be left alone. Here's a link to a review that Jerry Bransford did about the aluminum DeFenders when they had just come out. He left them bare.
Here's a link to my thread when I installed them. In the thread, Jerry mentions leaving his bare. You may reach out to him, and see how they've held up. Jerry is a great source of info, by the way.
