98wrang So then what is the metal clip that is attached to the brake that is hanging around?

Shelby427 Umm, it's a simple spring loaded on/off switch for the indicator lamp. Works off the brake lever. Lift the lever and the spring pops the switch up to turn the light on.

You either have a bad switch or a pinched wire.

E-Brake Light

So, I have had this problem, and haven't bothered to ask about it as it hasnt bothered me. However, lately my e-brake light is either on all the time, or off all the time. While this is not a huge problem seeing as I know when my brake is on or not, I was just wondering if anyone knew what the problem was or how to fix it. I noticed a little metal clip looking thing that i discovered was part of the e-brake and i assume it is for the light, what do i do?
