I was thinking of the same thing, since I'm time crunched and not to mention not very knowledgeable on what I can and can't coat.
Is there a company that does this? And how much did you guys pay to get it done?

|techflork||People I know sandblast it off. For how much the stuff cost and the work/time you put into it you may want to consider paying a local company to do it. We paid a company to do it, big cost for the first time, then every year after they give you a HUGE discount to keep you coming back. We got a fair deal on it I think, and my friend actually said it was cheaper than him doing it himself because of how much the stuff cost him per gallon. Just a thought.|

|IamJayson||So for under the Jeep, I only have to sand the rust off? No need to go down to bare metal?|

|KKhamesi||if there is any paint on there before u need to chip off whatever paint or sand it. for under the car i think u should just sand off some of the HEAVY rust off and then spray but other than that you can just spray. just rustoleum bedliner spray can what ever you find at home depot or lowes|

Any tips on bedlining? They say prep is everything, but after prep, do I just spray it on? Or are there any other thing I have to do?
BTW, which bedliner do you recommend?

We all know winter is coming, and I am very concerned, being a new Jeep owner and all. I wanted to ask a few questions about readying my Jeep for winter. Basics like what items/products should I have with me to keep and protect (a)the body and paint from rusting below the paint, (b) the soft top and plastic windows and (c)anything else.
But also more importantly I wanted to ask about keeping the undercarriage, specifically from frame-eating rust. I know and I've read lots about the topic but I just wanted to ask a few questions that I believe were not covered in some of the posts.
First off, I've read people bed lining under there, we all know about POR-15, and some still swear by other products such as Rust Encapsulator, Rust Bullet or what not.
What I wanted to know is, what is the difference from doing one from the other? Pros and cons of each, in the areas of availability of the product, the level of difficulty in application, maybe price but most of all the level of protection it gives. I am willing to pay a bit more if it protects better for longer.
And finally, I've been holding off on going under my vehicle because of this issue, but now that winter is here I have to do it soon. Is there any part under there that I should not undercoat/touch with product. I mean, if I were to POR-15 or bed line or anything under there, which parts should I stay away from getting product on? I am wary of moving parts, specifically.
I am very hesitant to even go under there with anything, being inexperienced as I am, but times demand that I should if I want keep my baby.
Any suggestions, comments, and advise will be much appreciated. Thank you in advance. And sorry for writing a whole book.
Jeep on sir and good day!
