Driver831 4cyl's come stock with 4.11's front an rear. You can always go lower, but you lose highway rpm and mileage on it. I've been in peppy 4 bangers even without the big gear and motor. Intake, throttle, injectors, weight, everything can be factors in sluggish turnouts.

InvertChaos Well once the tire size changes, you need lower gears to be back to stock. A 4cyl will never be fast, but an undergeared 4cyl will be a turd.
