Fishing, Jeeping and Boating....talk about EXPENSES!
But the fun of it all is worth it, right ?

SurfnSnow Yeah I understand about having extra hobbies. Jeeping, snowboarding, and comic books take up my money. But Kev if ya can make it to Moab, that'd be cool

emills Welcome back forum!

I would absolutely love to go out with you guys this weekend - but this is the big family Christmas weekend in Big Bear with all of my aunts and uncles and cousins. I am still working on a way to sneak out for a bit to ride shotgun - but chances are very slim.

RedRubiTJ Kevin, I will be up Saturday morning and will be staying overnight. I'm not sure whether or not I will be up for a trail ride on Sunday but ya never know.

Eric just left and he will be up there all weekend. He might (the Mrs may let him ) be up for riding shotgun on a ride Saturday as they are driving up in the Honda.

What time and where Saturday?

Rawkon Hey Chuck im for sure gonna head up friday after work. Do you plan on being in big bear this weekend???
12-19-2007 10:11 AM
Double G I was up there the 1st snow and had to pull a tree from the John Bull trail, then the next weekend with about 12"to18" of snow led our group through Gold Myn. to remove a tree. It's not the snow that stops you, it's the ICE!!! If you start to turn a tire it would just ice up and all 4 would spin, ground clearance was my best helper, the jeeps that hit the rocks had trouble, and the ones with no lockers, well, I couldn't even pull them in the snow, I had to use my winch for them. It was cold, but I had a blast, lot's of fun!!

Rawkon I just got done moving to fullerton so my weekends have been unpacking. I havnt been out since pismo in early november.

Im trying to setup some snow wheeling this weekend. I know wayne and my dad want to go out. (dad has a Budget boosted 01 XJ) frank in the big green scout cant make it till sunday, but if my jeep and i are in one piece ill go out again on sunday.

pending on how good/bad the snow is would decide what trails we can run.
apparently the snow from the last storm hasnt melted much since the temps have been so low. which is good and bad, good news is theres snow bad news is theres Ice.

techniques on pulling us out? Yea me and Chuck are known for getting stuck. wheres the rolling of the eyes smiley???

I don't really understand. It was tongue in cheek but also slightly serious. We haven't been wheeling in quite a while and I haven't seen any recent invites. The only time I have ever flaked was the AZ bunch and you KNOW I got stuck on the East Coast that weekend.
