|oilwell1415||I have seen a few cases of electrolysis in the 4.0 eat the impeller on the water pump and cause similar symptoms. The worst was barely out of warranty when it finally quit blowing hot air. You can test this by removing a heater hose from the core and starting the engine. Coolant should flow out rapidly from either the hose or the core depending on which hose you remove. If it doesn't the water pump isn't pumping any water.|

Lubricant boiling / mystery part
Greetings from Chile , South America....Not sure how this all works , so all help appreciated. I have a 2001 4L sport wrangler which has been great. however, now 10 yrs old a few problems that nobody locally can resolve.
1) When I stop the engine the cooling liquid reservoir starts to shake like mad as baubbles appear. the engine dones not pass 100 degrees and does not appear to be losing fluid. I saw some similar issues with people on You Tube , but never saw the answers.
2) My heating ceased to work and my mecanic says this is because the motor unit controlling the hot water valve has ceased to work. I could not find the part on the manual diagrams from specialist jeep stores , and after sending photos of the part got not reply. Would anybody be able to help me identify this part.
many thanks for staying with me. Any help appreciated.....Steve Chile
