spm488 I am a little tighter with my cash so I found a 3 ton Maasdam SUV jack at Home Depot for $48 and 3 ton Kobalt Jack stands from Lowes, 19.99 for a pair! Used them quite a bit the last few months and I have no complaints.

Overtrained 6ton jack stands are the way to go. Have six of em by snap on. They are a lot more stable when you have a jeep/car/truck up on all fours.

daggo66 I use the HF 6 ton jack stands and the HD jack as well. I am so glad I don't have to lug that thing out of the basement any more.

sneck yeah I use the harbor freight 6 ton stands, with the 3.5 ton racing floor jack (only because I don't have a garage the the 4ton heavy duty I bought at first was too damn heavy to always be lugging up and down a flight of stairs). Happy with them so far, although one of the jack stand keeps jamming up on me. rather it constantly get stuck up then open , so not the end of the world

OH9JK Norco is good stuff....I like "overkill" myself.

Personally I have a set of Sears Craftsman jack stands. I have had these for many years. They are well built and get the job done.

One of these days I will get a better floor jack....right now I just use an old 12 ton bottle jack.

jack and jack stands...

Okay, did a good bit of digging on this, and have decided on the following (pending info I learn from this post).

4 Norco 6-ton jack stands (yeah, overkill...but I like overkill.)

An OTC 3-ton Stinger floor jack.

Would y'all feel okay crawling under your Jeep with that setup? The jack is almost a moot point...simply a tool to get me to the jack stands. Personally, wouldn't use and/or rely on the jack to ensure my safety. Are the Norco's trustworthy?

What do y'all use?
