Guess I will let you know in 3 months then if everything is good. My mechanic said when he talked to the suppliers they said there was a high failure rate on these parts made in Korea or where ever. AMS claims there parts will not fail. Good luck on everything! Forgot to mention my mechanic said AMS warranties the parts for 3 years I believe.

cena Alright, the jeep is finally done! My mechanic got the slave cylinder from AMS. Well he installed it and it didn't work! He called them and they said it had to be installed with their clutch kit. He told them he was never told that by them. They sent him a new slave and clutch kit free of charge for his inconvienence. Guess what!! It works! Got it back today! So, if you order from them make sure you order the kit! My mechanic was reimbursed for tranny time and everything! I paid the original quote from him on replacing the slave. That was 3 weeks ago and four tranny pulls!!! Wow!! So whoever reads this and has problems with bleeding the slave, its because of bad parts!!

Yes, I will let you know what happens. Hopefully this week!! I did mention the clutch line theory and he said nope. There is nothing too that line. He said it is absolutley the slave. He said if he would replace the clutch line he would just make one. He said mine looked absolutley fine.

Bladeski That is terrific cena! I will try and find this place out of Missouri. AMS. I cannot find a line anyway! I will go ahead and get a new slave-let me know this all turns out. Awesome.

cena Alright, this is what I found out from my mechanic. He said the slave was bad, so it was replaced. He couldn't get the air out. Called his parts place and they sent him a new one because they believed it to be defective. New one comes and same thing! So now the parts place tells him they are all having problems with the slaves from the manufacturer. Now he has pulled my tranny twice. No extra charge because his supplier is going to pick up the labor. Now he did some calling around and it turns out there is an upgraded slave for our vehicles! They garuantee them to work because they test them first. The place is called AMS out of Missouri. So the new upgraded slave is on the way! My mechanic said it is not the clutch line! So if you replace the line and it still doesn't help you know its the slave! Like I said he did the research and decided on this AMS place over Carquest. Beware that if you buy from autozone, advance auto and such places they probably get there parts from the same place and those slaves will be bad or fail after a short time.

Bladeski Thanks mini-I wrote to clutchcity and I have tried various autoparts stores around here, like carquest and jc whitney. Was yours an actual hydraulic clutch line for a 92? NOBODY seems to have one.

minisaba Try clutchcity.com I got mine there. Your local parts store should be able to get you the line for about $70.

What is next for my 92 YJ clutch guys?????

I have a 92 Wrangler YJ 2.5 and I have...

a) replaced pressure plate
b) slave cylinder
c) master cylinder
d) bled and re-bled
e) pressure bled

And now the clutch is disengaging on the floor again. After a certain period, it always reverts to getting air again, this has been going on for over a year. I believe after talking to many people I need a new hydraulic clutch line but Dodge/Chrysler dealers don't carry them any more. I found this:

DORMAN 628-204 Clutch Hydraulic Line

My 4Wheel Parts guys said it sound like it was the original part, so I bought it and now autozone says it won't fit. I am not even sure this is the problem, but I don't know what else to do????
