NYYJ Thought I post a video of my "free Jeep" snow plowing , it did great with the heavy snow fall we just got in New York, For some reason earlier in the day both my original Meyers Plow lights broke off , so you can see just the base is left...

NYYJ Free Jeep now has a plow! Got a craigslist deal on this old Meyer setup from a old Jeep J10 truck , had to do allot of fab work to make it work , Did all the welding (very rookie welder) myself including the wiring work , I seems real strong now but when the snow flies I will find out for sure , really looking forward to plowing with this after 6 years of plowing my 300ft driveway with my Kawasaki Brute Force 750 ATV

That particular edition had them, think it was a Sahara

littlejohn411 I agree, the color is sweet but the price is better!

mmohorovich Nice score!!! I've got the same, Gold 94' Sahara. I've got a black hard top though. You will love it. I think it is one of the nicest color combos that Jeep has ever produced.

The straps on the seats are stock. When you fold the rear seat up, the straps hold it in position preventing the seat from falling back down on top of your groceries or dog... whatever you may be carrying. In the picture you can only see the side of the straps, but they actually link behind the seat and are elastic for a little flexibility.

Enjoy the jeep!

billytheyj Nice jeep are the straps some weird stock shoulder harness holders for 3 or 5 point harnesses
02-24-2011 01:35 PM
wreck999 if your looking for a cheaper solution, perhaps you can get your springs recurved. but every jeep owner knows that jeep stands for( Just Empty Every Pocket)

galaxyblur Nice! Congrats. But as we are seeing the immediate effects of owning a Jeep, it quickly becomes un-free

whiteyj Welcome. What a great score!

jeepnovice Good for you NYYJ! I thought I got a good deal when my bro sold me his 2003 TJ with 67K last summer for $7500. Good luck with it!

scott howard You scored big time!!
welcome back to the Jeep family.

rogertc1 Nice Jeep. The Miles are nothing.
12-28-2010 11:49 AM
JenkinsJeep95 First off congrats you lucky sob!

Second just save a little cash and you can go ahead and get a 4" RC lift for about the same cost as replacing your stock springs, and it should come with everything you need to do it.

You'll get to the bigger tires later

I had to drop mine when I put my BDS 2" lift on. Without it the vibration was a little too much.

Mile High 4wheeler Now that's a sick YJ
12-27-2010 08:28 PM
puffisaurus looks dead on my 93... but a lil nicer
12-27-2010 07:33 PM
Boosta Outstanding!!
12-27-2010 07:32 PM
JeepAddOns-Chris The answer to that is not usually, but sometimes. Most people can get away with not running one on that small of a lift. I'd rather run with a SYE than do a drop anyway, but that's a few more bills in addition to the few more bills in addition to the few more bills in addition to... well, you get the picture.

NYYJ lol 07XMan,, you know your right , gotta get the lift right? the 2 to 2.5 sounds good , does that require the pan drop ? , Man between this project and my 65 stang which is in the paint shop now... I'm gonna be broke! but hey got it for nothing , So I don't mind dropping a few bills on it
12-27-2010 06:33 PM
07XMan2Door Congrats!! I'd also get a 2 inch lift since you need all new springs. Even with stock tires it will look great & you'll be set for larger ones when you decide to get them. (for we all know you will eventualy get larger tires, lol).

When you get it all dolled up, take it back to your sweet relatives that gave it to you, show it off & throw them a nice bone.

Good for you, you lucky son of a b!tch!!!
12-27-2010 05:21 PM
teamhirev looks exactly like mine when I got mine. Love the interior. Now it sits on 33" tires!!! and love it even more

Dr. Venture 4.0 inline....to me were, and are the BEST engines!
12-27-2010 04:35 PM
NYYJ Thanks for the comments , even my wife is getting into the jeep thing , she wants me to sell our expedition and get a Grand Cherokee , I will be looking for one with a 4.0 for sure. I don't know what the straps are for they look stock. Once I do the brakes and tune up it will be ready for the road , can't wait. I will check with the vendors here for springs... Thanks!
