LIL_red_JEEP nice info BLUESMAN, looks like someone else here has Alldata pro.

most common clunks can be traced to worn sway bar bushings, check for dry rotted bushings when jeep is on jack stands. these are very hard to tell when vehicle has full weight on tires.

It's the one that runs from the frame by your steering box to the axle on the passenger side, at approximately the same angle as your drag link.

check track bar

I put a 4 inch. lift on my 01 sprt and it does the same thing sometimes. After looking at it I found it was a loose bolt where the track bar connects. every once in a while it does it again and I just tighten it back up. I should probably buy some lock-tite for it put keep putting it off.

01 TJ sport, 4 inch lift,d30 front and d44 rear, rear true track diff, nerf bars., k&n, power aid throttle body spacer.

tiger22 check your trac bar first. get your front suspension articulated both ways and see if the ball joint in either of your sway bar links is seperated on either side. mine was seperated and i fixed it last week. i did however self diagnose prematurely and put a new upper and lower ball joint in first ($95). when this did not fix the problem i did what i said above and it was obvious what the problem was. i ended up paying $150 for a fix that would have only cost $50 if i had just slowed down and checked things out.

bluvikng If you have anyone that can help you, jack up the front of the Jeep, and put jack stands under your front axle, high enough to get your wheels off the ground. Now have the other person slowly turn your steering wheel, lock to lock, while you observe the front end through the rotation. Something is bound to be loose, from your description. If that does not show anything, try crabbing the right front tire, in the 12 - 6 o'clock position, and see if you can wiggle it. If there is any play in the tire, your wheel bearing is shot. Once you have done all this.........let us know your results. Or, if you are not willing to do this, please take this to your favorite mechanic, and have him/her check it out.

bluvikng It is very hard to diagnose from behind the steering wheel, or sitting at your computor..........get under your Jeep and physically look at your stuff man.

bmanrkg3 well, today i noticed it when i quick turned the wheel back and forth at a standstill, but the sound is coming from the front right... i also noticed when i was parked i had my wheel cut, and there were parts underneath rubbing the tire and the rim...

im rather confused

bluvikng Make sure your lower control arms are good and tight. Make sure your coil spring is seated proberly. Check your shocks to make sure they are still fastened, and working correctly.

Bluesman You may have knocked a hitch hiking Leprechaun loose.
I know, that was not funny, however it cracked me up.

Check your springs, shocks and such? Is it all the time, during acceleration/deceleration etc?

bump *clunk* ???

when i hit a moderate bump on the right side of my jeep, i hear a clunk sound... its just been happening recently, i havent been offroading in a while (a tragedy really...) so i dunno why now im hearing it.
