TheTJRod The HVAC takes two 194 bulbs. The Auto shifter takes a 658 but 194 can work there too.

Sammy91683 Thanks.
How many bulbs and what kind?

freeskier For the slide controls the bulbs are the same as the gauge clusters. As for the actual install all you have to do is pop the center trim piece off, four bolts hold in the HVAC control unit and that's as far as you have to go. There are two twist lock holders the the back side of the control unit, one on each side.

HVAC LED install

I have a 98, and I just replaced the lights in my gauge cluster with blue HP3 LEDs. I really liked it, so now I want to do the lights in my HVAC. I'm pretty comfortable with all of the HVAC parts and removing the switches and such. I was wondering if someone could post on how to do this exactly (bulb numbers and locations of the bulbs). I know there are posts on it, but they aren't very detailed in the HVAC procedure, just the gauge cluster installation. I was hoping to do the slider heating controller and the two switches for rear defroster and wiper. Thanks!
