That's crazy! How long does it take to take apart the sides? I go from hard top to no top often. This doesn't sound like something I'm going to want to deal with. I just had one delivered, but I'm thinking of sending it back if this is the case. Are you sure it wouldn't work sandwiched in between the two?

chopperbobby I have one on my 2010 jku I have both soft and hard top. There is nothing that will get in the way of the hard top. it attaches to the roll bar and floor.

Love mine. I went to homedepot and got a thick out door carpet with rubber on the underside to line the top and got 3m spray glue to make it stick. Worked great and looks good.

Most of the time, its just me, but a few times per year ( nice summer days with the top off) more than two people will ride with me.

Thanks!
So upon further review, I see that this thread is about the newer 2011+ model...

The older 2008 model will not allow the rest seats to be installed with the side brackets in place.

I would still like to see some pics of the old model installed if any one has any.

Thanks

Timjeep Thanks everyone on the forum. Just ordered the tuffy enclosure for my two door...... Got it for $201 shipped from Morris 4x4 using the wrangler forum 10% discount. This is just what I wanted. Now I will feel better leaving my work computer in the Jeep, making multiple stops while shopping in my Jeep with the top down, or leaving the side windows from my soft top back there.

Need to stay off the forum, it's costing me too much money. but I enjoy it too much!

panthermark Finished installing mine yesterday.
Added a little silicone spray to are where it slides for a smoother action.

I just pulled the top part out so I can lay down a few coats of plasti-dip in it. That will help protect it from rain and scratches. Pics to come (needed to get the thread bumped so I can find it on my phone).

kbwwolf Nice job!

Probably keep things from sliding around on the lid so much, too.

Bedlined the Tuffy deck

Finally found an opportunity over Labor day weekend to bedline the deck of my Tuffy. It had quite a few scratches that exposed the bare metal and I was worried about it chipping and getting worse and rusting. Wish I had taken some before photos but I forgot. Here are some after photos.

Really simple process. I washed it with water. Took some light sandpaper and gave it a good once over on the places I planned on lining. Then I rinsed it again and let it dry. Masked it with some painters tape and then painted it with the spray on Rustoleum bedliner. It turns out to have a very fine, sand-paper feel to it. I decided I wont use Rustoleum anywhere else on the jeep, but the texture works well on the Tuffy. I just have to remember and be careful not to scratch the back window when I'm taking it off.

Pup Thanks for the quick reply! It'll be close... I have no problem taking a club or three out of the bag to get them to fit. It might just work...

I posted this on another thread. Here's a pic of a club, I don't think the clubs in the bag will fit, but the clubs out of the bag may fit.

Void For Vagueness Someone in another forum somehow carpeted one of these too, and it looked amazing. Here's a pic (with back seats folded down): Anyone know how this was done? I'm interested because I'd like to be able to remove the top deck when my dogs ride in the Jeep, but I'm worried that the stock steel looks kind of sharp- don't want dogs to get snagged/cut/be very uncomfortable...

Anyone thought of this, done it, or have a reason why it's a bad idea?
Dude on another forum did this recently. Looks good, he didn't say any problems with it yet.

I may do it soon, my grandpa put a bunch of stuff on it a couple weeks ago and scratched it up... I almost cried

Lighting Guy I think 10% is the best you will find on this. That said, it is ~$45 off and a good deal. Got mine from 4 Wheel Parts a couple months ago when they had 10% off. They got it in the next day and I picked it up.

Right you are. I looked at the advertisement and just assumed it would be $20. More like 9%. Still, 45 bucks off, not bad.
